Native vs partner

Know what you own and what you are renting

Plenty of rental vendors blur this line. We would rather you go into a proposal knowing exactly where the platform ends and a partner begins.

Native to RentWorks Plus

The rental operation itself ships with the platform. Reservations and availability, rental agreements, fleet and inventory records, rate rules and deposits, inspections and damage claims, repair orders, customer and B2B accounts, and reporting.

No add-on required, and no separate vendor to call when a counter agent has a question.

Partner-powered

Card processing, telematics hardware, AI voice intake, AI damage detection, electronic signature, and the accounting ledger itself depend on a third party. That is a strength when the partner is genuinely better at it than a rental vendor would be.

It also means pricing, supported countries, hardware, data handling, legal terms, and support scope are set per partner and confirmed in your proposal.

FAQ

Questions worth asking before you sign

Which capabilities are native and which need a partner?

Core rental operations are native: reservations, agreements, fleet records, rates, inspections, claims, and reporting. Card processing, telematics hardware, AI voice intake, AI damage detection, and the accounting ledger come from partners. Each partner page says who owns the product and what the integration actually moves.

Are integrations included in the RentWorks Plus price?

No. Partner products are quoted separately because they carry their own pricing, hardware, and contracts. Your proposal lists which integrations are in scope and what each one costs, so there are no assumptions left in the deal.

Who supports the integration if something stops working?

Bluebird supports the RentWorks Plus side of the connection. The partner supports their own product. Your implementation plan names the escalation path for both, so nobody spends a morning guessing which vendor to call.

Can RentWorks Plus connect to my accounting system?

QuickBooks Online and Xero are the two to plan around, and each has a partner page describing what the handoff sends: rental revenue, taxes and fees, receivables, and payments. The mapping itself is still scoped during implementation rather than sold as a fixed feature, because chart-of-accounts structures differ between operators. Your proposal names the target system, the records that move, and who owns the mapping.

Can you build an integration that is not on this list?

Sometimes. Whether a new connection is practical depends on what the other system exposes and how much of your operation depends on it. Tell us the system and the workflow you want to remove, and we will tell you honestly whether it is worth building.
