About Bluebird · Better Software. Better Support. Better Value.

Four decades of rental software, built for your side of the counter.

Bluebird has built car rental software since 1982, first for DOS counters, then Windows, now the cloud. We know what a Friday afternoon looks like when three flights land together and two cars are still on the wash line, and we build for the people who have to sort that out.

The people behind RentWorks Plus

The leadership setting direction for Bluebird and the platform operators run on every day.

Naomi Virgo, CEO of Bluebird Auto Rental Systems

Naomi is CEO of Bluebird and a recognised leader in the car rental technology industry, where she leads a portfolio of car rental technology businesses. Her specialty is digital transformation: moving rental operators off systems they have run for fifteen years onto software that can grow with them. Sixteen years in SaaS and car rental across global markets mean she has seen that switch go well and go badly, and she now sets the direction for RentWorks Plus. Outside work, she’s an equestrian and mum of two, which she’ll tell you is the real masterclass in change management.

Leeza Hack, Director of Operations at Bluebird Auto Rental Systems

Leeza runs operations at Bluebird, leading the teams, systems, and processes that help the business deliver a great customer experience. She brings more than a decade of operations leadership experience across software companies, most recently serving as VP of Operations at The Rounds. She holds an MBA and a degree in Economics from Dalhousie University. When she’s not building better operations, Leeza is usually building something else, whether it’s a DIY project, a furniture makeover, or a new craft.

Mark Hogan, Head of Sales at Bluebird Auto Rental Systems

Mark leads sales at Bluebird, and after twenty five years selling software across SaaS, cloud, and data center markets he knows what separates an efficient rental operation from one that stalls. His favorite part of the job is the early conversations: helping operators rationalize their processes and leveraging technology to drive desired results.

What we run on

Why operators stay

Six habits we have kept through three generations of technology.

We listen first

Since 1982 we have asked operators what they need before we build it, then given them a choice in how it works.

Trust is earned, not given

Every release goes through QA before it reaches your counter. When something breaks, you get a fast answer and a straight one.

Nobody gets left behind

DOS, then Windows, now the cloud. Each generation of our software carried operators to the next one, so you upgrade when you are ready.

A real person answers

You get a named account manager who knows your operation, support people who know the workflow, and a portal for when you would rather not call.

Your bottom line is the point

We measure ourselves by what your fleet earns, whatever the size of your operation.

Built for what comes next

Paperless agreements, EV-ready fleet tools, and digital inspections, built for where rental is heading.

What four decades adds up to

1982The year we started building rental software, and we have not stopped since.
1,000+Operators run on Bluebird software, so your edge cases are probably not new to us.
70+Countries served, so multi-currency and local tax rules are familiar to our team.
3Regions with teams of our own: the US, Canada, and the U.K.

Four decades in. Still built around operators.

Tell us how your operation runs today. We will show you what changes, what stays, and what it takes to get there.
